Synopsis
At the stroke of midnight a shot rings out in the drawing room of the Midwinter Vicarage, the most hated man in the village Colonel Masters, is discovered slumped in the armchair.
Who committed this foul crime? Was it Ruthie Masters, his ex-wife or could it be the vicar of Midwinter Reverend Nicholas “Nicky” Jamieson or his ward Emma Phillips or could it be the local doctor Charles “Charlie” Robinson. Could the murderer be Mrs. Margery Evans, the housekeeper or the travelling painter Jacob Waterford or Mrs Jessica ffletcher-Jones or her daughter Samantha ffletcher-Jones or maybe it could be the respected local nobility Lady Agatha Frittington. Who could be responsible for these murders most horrid?
Soon the suspects are being bumped off one by one. Can Detective Morse Lewis-Frost and Sergeant Roger Coleman discover who the deranged murderer is before another innocent life is wasted.
